The difference between APP and SBS coils

The production process of the two coils is basically the same, the differences are as follows: 1. Both waterproof rolls are polymer modified asphalt waterproof rolls, but their modifiers are different: SBS waterproof rolls use SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene), SBS is thermoplastic styrene-butadiene rubber; APP waterproof membrane modifier is APP (random polypropylene). 2. Due to different modifiers, the structural range of the two coils is also different. SBS waterproof membrane can be used in the temperature range of -25 to +100 ℃, with high elasticity and fatigue resistance, especially suitable for building waterproof engineering in areas with low temperature, cold and frequent structural deformation.

APP waterproof membrane has high anti-aging and high temperature performance, and is especially suitable for waterproof construction in high temperature areas and waterproof construction with special requirements on heat resistance.

1. SBS modified asphalt waterproof membrane (polyester tire):

Product features: Polyester felt (filament polyester nonwoven fabric) has good mechanical properties, good water resistance and corrosion resistance; elasticity and low temperature performance have been significantly improved, and the effective application range is (‐25~100)℃; Excellent fatigue resistance. Scope of application: It is suitable for single-layer paving and compound use of roofs of high-level and high-rise buildings, and can also be used for waterproofing and moisture proof in basements, etc., and is more suitable for waterproofing in cold northern regions and buildings with structural variability.

2. APP modified asphalt waterproof membrane (polyester tire):

Product characteristics: good elastoplasticity, heat resistance and UV aging resistance; softening point is above 150 ℃. Use temperature range -15℃~130℃; good corrosion resistance, high spontaneous ignition point (265℃); low temperature resistance is slightly lower than SBS waterproof film; hot melt is very good, very suitable for hot melt construction.
